A rich Short Course and Main Conference, with themes focusing on queen health, nutrition and pest control with workshops and a field trip to the world famous Bourbon distillery. All events will be held in the Paraquot Springs Convention Center in Shepherdsville, KY.

Conference Features

Lectures: Lectures will focus on queen health, bee nutrition, parasites and pathogens.

Master Beekeepers: The Master Beekeepers will offer the four components of their testing – written, laboratory, oral and field exams.  Information is available on the EAS website.  https://easternapiculture.org/programs/master-beekeepers/

Exercise Program – Yoga and Zumba: There will be morning Zumba classes and late afternoon Yoga sessions to keep us on our toes and help us relax after a day of concentration.

Bee Olympics: The always popular Bee Olympics will be held on site with fun challenges for teams to face on Wednesday, July 29th.

Auctions: Auctions will include a silent auction during the conference and a live auction on Thursday evening. 

Painted Boxes: Painted boxes will be on exhibit and available for auction throughout the conference.

Welcome Reception: A reception will be hosted on Sunday evening, July 26th.  Lunches will be available through registration. A buffet dinner is available with the live auction on Thursday, July 30th and a plated banquet dinner will be served on Friday, July 31st.  Sign-ups for these meals may be found on the registration form which will be available in April, 2026

Volunteer: Opportunities for volunteer participation will be available. Get a head start by signing up or renewing your EAS membership, a requirement for registration, conference attendance and volunteering.

Honey Show: The Honey Show provides an opportunity to display and have evaluated your finest products of extracted honey, comb honey, black jar, beeswax, gadgets, photographs, cooked goods and mead and honey beer. Have your products for evaluated for display or sale and visit the Honey Show to appreciate how fine the products of our honey bees can be.
